  Rude and condescending. Our last dialogue condensed:
  - I've been working for 20 years and saw lots of patients with this pre-arthrithis condition. I treated some of them with surgery. I can offer you surgery, but I don't know if it helps. You tell me if you want surgery.
  - We (my wife and I) cannot decide on the surgery, because we don't know how successful it is on average. Since you have such rich experience, could you tell us approximate percentages of patients who reported getting better and worse?
  - if you want statistics, go to John's Hopkins...
  - But doctor, we need some ballpark figure - 2% or 98% on average get better?
  - I'll refer you to John's Hopkins... Goodbye
  
  It's just one dialogue. Every time we talked to him right from the start he was very impatient and dictatorial with us
